Annie Garcia-Robets

Annie Garcia-Roberts, LMT

Annie is a native of New Mexico, where she attended the Santa Fe School of Massage (formerly the Scherer Institute of Natural Healing), one of the oldest massage schools in the country. From diverse and expert teachers in Santa Fe, she received training in many modalities, including Cranio Sacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Integrative Deep Tissue Bodywork.

Annie loves being physically active especially in yoga, swimming, cycling and many other sports. This passion combined with her clear understanding of anatomy deepens her sensitivity and skills for pain management and sports massage. Annie spent a month in Chang Mai, Thailand studying traditional Thai massage and she enjoys incorporating traditional movements and stretches into her massage sessions. Annie also has over 100+ hours of continuing education in Prenatal and Postpartum Bodywork, and is inspired to support expectant and new mothers.

Annie moved from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Halibut Cove, Alaska in 2011. A couple years later she decided to establish her home in Anchorage, where she initially practiced massage therapy at the Complementary Medicine Clinic at the Alaska Native Medical Center. During her time there, she further developed her direct and intuitive approach to pain management for both acute and chronic injuries.

She is deeply invested in helping others along their path to physical and emotional wellness. Annie customizes the massage session to meet the needs of her client, and with quiet intuition and presence, she offers a range of techniques during a deeply nurturing, therapeutic massage.

Annie is a professional member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and is nationally certified through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB).
